Depression is not the same as feeling sad or down. It is a medical condition that consistently affects your mood and emotions, in a negative manner, for a prolonged period of time. There is lots of research on depression: where it comes from, what triggers a depressive episode, who is more likely to suffer from depression, and how to treat it. Please check the resources below for information about depression. If you or a friend are struggling with negative emotions, please seek help from your School Counselor.
