Mrs. Jessica Beaston

  • ​Bachelors Degree in Psychology: Western Illinois University (2003) with an emphasis in Special Education
  • Masters Degree in School counseling (Ms.Ed): Quincy University (2007)
  • Community Involvement: Quincy Service League
  • 13th year in School counselor (5 years for Hannibal Public Schools, 8th year at Quincy High School)
  • Hobbies: running, weight lifting, watching reality TV, boating, sunning, and hanging out with friends and family
  • Fun Facts: I was born and raised in Quincy, I have identical twin 10 year old girls who have red hair and a mini-me 6 year old girl. I have been married for 12 years to my husband who was also born and raised in Quincy. I knew I wanted to be a counselor at a very early age when my grade school friends would come to me with their problems and I genuinely enjoyed helping them.

Mr. Dan Buelt

  • ​Graduated from Culver Stockton - 2002 - Bio Education  - taught for 3 years
  • Graduated from Missouri Baptist University - 2005 - School Counseling Education - 16 years as a counselor
  • I am married, have the best dog in the world (Rocky), and was a member of the 1997 Class A State Championship Basketball team- Warsaw High School

Mrs. Camille Donaldson

  • Undergrad: Illinois State University- 1993 BA Public Relations
  • Quincy University- 1996 completed my teaching certification
  • Masters: Quincy University- 2007 MsEd Counseling
  • I have been in Education 24 years. I taught Spanish for 11 years at Barry High School. I have been a School Counselor 13 years. (10 years Western CUSD 12 and 3 years QSHS)
  • Hobbies: Working out, watching the Hallmark Channel/Cardinals Baseball, and hanging out with friends, family and my dog Louie.
  • Fun Facts: 
    • -I have been married 26 years
    • -I have two grown sons
    • -I grew up in a small town in central Illinois
    • -I instruct an aerobics class at the YMCA two days a week at 5:45am!

Mrs. Erica Huntley

  • This is my 16th year as a QPS employee. I started out as a Math teacher here at QHS. 
  • Graduated from Unity High School, Mendon, Illinois. Class of 2001
  • Undergraduate- Mathematics and Secondary Education, Culver Stockton College, 2005
  • Graduate- School Counseling, Quincy University, 2010
  • I am blessed with three sons, that keep me very busy. I enjoy watching my sons' sports, as well as QHS games and the NFL (Go Cowboys!).

Ms. Mindy Jackson 

  • QHS counselor for 15 years.  
  • Graduated from Glenbrook North High School.
  • Bachelor's degree from Eastern Illinois University.
  • Master's degree in School Counseling from National-Louis University.
  • Currently in college working on an Educational Leadership Degree.
  • I took my daughter on a ten-day canoe trip with no running water.
  • I bungee jumped over Virginia Beach.
  • My favorite meal ever was eating jelly fish on the Yellow Sea.
  • The movie, Ferris Bueller's Day off was filmed at my high school.

Mr. Chad Struck

  • Undergrad – Quincy University 2003  Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology
  • Master – Quincy University  2009  School Counseling
  • QHS Counselor  - 10 years
  • QHS Assistant Soccer Coach for Girls and Boys programs
  • Hobbies  -  Golf, Fantasy Sports, Coaching, and hanging out with family and friends
  • Fun Fact  -  Married for 14 years, Wife is an educator in the school district as well. We have 2 daughters and 1 son.

Mrs. Ashley VanCamp

  • Counselor for 4 years
  • Undergraduate: Psychology and American Sign Language Interpreter Training- Quincy University
  • Graduate: School Counseling- Quincy University
  • High School: Vandalia Butler High School- Vandalia, Ohio
  • Hobbies: Watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S, going on walks, CrossFit and hiking! 
  • Fun Fact: I have 14 tattoos

Ms. Megan Williams

  • Originally from Centralia IL, Home of the Orphans!
  • Associate in Arts degree from Kaskaskia College (2007)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from SIU (2009)
  • Master's Degree in Human Development Counseling from University of Illinois-Springfield (2015)
  • This is my 7th year as a School Counselor, 3rd year at QHS. I previously worked for Morrisonville CUSD1 and Kankakee CUSD111
  • Fun Facts: I changed my major 5 times with the admission's office in college before finally choosing Psychology. It only set me back 1 semester and I still graduated in under 4 years. 
  • Chocolate makes me happy!

  • This is my 26th year working at QHS as the Registrar
  • Graduated from Highland High School -Ewing, MO
  • Certificate in Travel and Tourism  Metro Business College- Jefferson City, MO
  • Member/volunteer with Friends of the Performing Arts – Quincy Public Schools
  • Hobbies:  Traveling….. especially to the beach, hanging with my family & friends, watching Hallmark movies, baking, spending time at my family farm
  • Fun Facts:  Married for 23 years
    •  I have a son, a daughter and soon to be a 2nd grandchild
    •  I am on my 2nd generation of QHS students!
    • I have people sing to me as soon as they hear my name…… Thanks Dolly !
