It's never too early to start searching for scholarships! Scholarships can be based on several different criteria such as financial need, GPA/grades, volunteer work, leadership, or a really good essay. Check your college/university of choice's website for specific institutional scholarships. Local scholarship applications can be picked up from Mrs. Briscoe in the Registrar's office.

Below are some yearly scholarships separated by the month they are due. Note that some scholarships might not be open yet if it is still early in the school year. Many local scholarships are not available or updated until 2nd semester. Scholarships specific to Quincy High are listed in Red. Please check the link for most up-to-date information.​

Based on character and essay entry. Not just for engineering students only.

Various Scholarships with multiple deadlines.

Recognition of youth community service. Must be in grades 5-12 and engaged in volunteer activity in the past 12 months. 

Elks National Foundation Scholarship
​Based on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.

National Security Agency- Stokes Educational Scholarship
Majoring in computer science or Computer/Electrical engineering. 

Sixt Scholarship
Limit to first 500 applications. Must have at least 3.7 GPA. Financial need considered.

Fire Free Speech Essay Contest
Open to juniors and seniors. Must write 700-900 word essay. 

Adams Electric Cooperative Scholarships
Must be child of Adams Electric Cooperative member.

No Sweat Scholarship
Open to high school students 13 and up! Create account and portfolio. No GPA or essay required.

Must be a senior and in Beta Club.

FFA Scholarships
Active FFA member. Intent to study in qualifying field. 2.5 GPA minimum.

Current member of a high school sports team, intramural, or athletic club. 3.0 GPA minimum.

John F. Kennedy Profile in Courage Essay Contest
Describe and analyze an act of political courage by a U.S. elected official who served during or after 1917

Ronald W. Reagan Leadership Program - Eureka College
Covers full tuition-GPA 3.0 or higher, display attributes of leadership, planning to attend Eureka College

Becky Swisher Crowe Memorial Scholarship (LOCAL)
Intent to pursue a degree in Education and have a financial need. Minimum 3.0 GPA. Return application to Registrar office.

Must be a Christian male freshman attending UIUC. Application
